Borders Forest Trust works across the Scottish Borders and Dumfriesshire with the aim of creating, restoring and protecting native woodlands for the benefit of people and wildlife. Support from the business community helps us to make this vision a reality and allows companies to play their part in protecting our natural environment and meeting their Corporate Social Responsibility requirements.
Companies we’ve worked with include Scottish Power Renewables, Lloyds TSB, Mainetti, Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Visit Scottish Borders and Standard Life.
Signing your business up as a Corporate Member (£250 annually) means that you will receive a membership pack, twice-yearly newsletters, annual report and quarterly e-bulletins. You will also feature on the Corporate Sponsors page of our website, where we can include your company’s logo, website link and description of the products or services you provide.
Would you like to take your staff out into the great outdoors to help create and look after our local woodlands? We can provide an expert guide who will lead you in a day or half day’s conservation activities at one of our woodland sites. The away day can help to boost team morale, provides environmental benefits and helps to deliver Corporate Social Responsibility achievements. (Price dependent on duration and size of group).
Why not sponsor one of our native tree planting schemes, helping to improve biodiversity in the south of Scotland? Native trees such as oak, birch, aspen and rowan will be planted and maintained at Corehead Farm, near Moffat, or at one of our other woodlands in the Scottish Borders. Your company’s details will be listed on our website and there will be the opportunity to add to the planting over time via further donations. We can also arrange a tree-planting day for staff should you want to plant the trees yourself. The cost for tree sponsorship is £10 per tree.
Would your customers like to donate £10 to have a native tree planted with every product sold or service purchased? We can tailor-make this scheme to your needs, allowing your customers to help enrich the Borders’ landscape, improve biodiversity in the region and protect the natural environment for everyone to enjoy.
BFT has been offering carbon sequestration services for the last ten years, with carbon sales from a variety of our sites, including Drygrange Community Woodland and Carrifran Wildwood, to companies such as The Carbon Neutral Company. BFT offers a complete tailor made service to companies in the area of ecosystems servicing and we work closely with the company in question to discover what their objectives are and how best we might help them to realise their goals.
