A fine oak tree with an open crown and a thick trunk, held by gnarly roots. It has had tree surgery to remove some branches and remains growing well in the park.
Access
The park is on the south side of Kelso alongside the A699. There is open access to the park but please keep dogs on a lead and clear up after them. Springwood Park, now owned by the Border Union Agricultural Society, is host to many large events each year including dog shows, equestrian events and the well known annual Border Union Show.
