Our Patron - Rory Bremner
The Trust is pleased to have Rory Bremner as its Patron. Edinburgh-born and with family in the Borders, Bremner is a frequent visitor to the region and is keen to support the work of the Trust. Rory says: “the Borders landscape is one of the most dramatic and beautiful in the country, with its hills, native woodlands and wild places. I’m delighted to support Borders Forest Trust’s vision and encourage local communities to help these wonderful places flourish. I can’t wait to get out there and plant some trees.”
As Britain’s best-known impressionist, Bremner has won four BAFTAs and three Royal Television Society awards for his TV shows. For several years he has hosted the annual Borders Book Festival in Melrose and having recently brought property in the region, will soon become a local resident.
